Since returning home from Philadelphia, what has been your most successful achievement or accomplishment related to leadership in civic engagement?

After returning from Philly I was selected by the Ministry of Health & Social Services (Namibia) to attend a other training about Yoga & Health in India at Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana college (S-VYASA) in November. I was also selected to serve on the board of directors for Just Breath Namibia which is a online meditation platform. & I got a call last week from the Board chairman of Out Right Namibia 🇳🇦 chair that I was selected to serve in the board of trustees for the organization. Out Right Namibia is a faith-based organization focusing on the fighting for the Rights of LGBTIQ+ people in Namibia

How have you engaged with fellow MWF alumni since returning home?

We are communicating almost every day on whatsapp & other social media platform where we share our latest projects & achievement.

Have you maintained contact with people from the Philadelphia area, if so, who and how?

YES, besides people from Drexel, Fellows that I met during my stay. I am still in contact with Ms. Marilou Watson, Ms. Andrea Lawful Sanders, Mr. Clifford & we are communicating through Whatsapp, LinkedIn & Facebook

What do you miss most about Philadelphia and Drexel?

As a kid I dreamt of going to United States & I promise myself i will not leave this earth without seeing America (the land of opportunities) & going to Drexel made all those things that I always imagine true. Drexel has been the best place, I have ever visited & it brought me thy highlights of my life. Thinking about Drexel brings back so me wonderful memories with tears in my eyes. I miss everything & everyone I had met over my stay at Drexel. There was never a dull moment. I will do it all again if I had to without changing anything.

Talk about your 3 biggest take-aways from your time at Drexel and the Fellowship.

I learned a lot of things through the fellowship & it is very difficult to narrow down to 3 but I think if I had to mention any 3 than it would be 1. how to be a servant leadership, 2. Patriotism & importance of volunteerism 3. America Culture & how America was founded & roles played by different heroes

What would you pass on to future Drexel fellowship cohorts?

To the future Drexel Cohorts, make the best use of your time & give it your all because every lunch or dinner/outing/activity or opportunity counts. Philly is a beautiful place & Drexel offers the best
